Analysis of tribal welfare schemes and supporting programs in ensuring quality education.
Objectives:
- To examine how the state and central government schemes helped to reduce dropouts in the status transition from elementary (1-5th grades), middle (6-8th grades) to secondary (9-12th grades), and to improve the participation of ST children in classes IX and X of the Pre-Matric stage.
- To examine whether the state and central scholarships improved their academics, and if not, what are the reasons and how to address those challenges.
- To examine whether there is any variance in the status of the tribal population based on their location.
- To examine whether any of the tribal children from Goa are studying in STEM and professional institutes.
