Ranbhaji Mahotsav 2026

Directorate of Tribal Welfare Goa through Tribal Research Institute Goa supported one day state level ‘Ranbhaji’ festival held today (08/08/2026) in Ravindra Bhawan Margao Goa.

The festival was inaugurated in presence of Hon’ble Minister for PWD Shri Digambar Kamat and Hon’ble minister for Tribal Welfare Dr Ramesh Tawadkar and other dignitaries. The festival had participation from more than 300 groups and received footfall of more than 5,000 people including school children.

The festival had a unique concept where forest vegetables cuisines were at display and the visitors were given opportunity to taste the various delicacies of Tribal cuisines. Festival displayed innovative dishes made from forest vegetables along with traditional dishes. The aim of event was to give exposure to urban population about the organic and healthy forest vegetables.
