The 21st LOKOSTAV was held for three days focusing the cultural and environmental values nurtured by tribal and forests dwelling communities of Canacona was held at Amone on 10 th 11th and 12th December 2021. “Lokostav-21” organised by Adarsh, Yuva, Sangh, Gaondongrim, Canacona – Goa in association with Directorate of Art and culture Panjim – Goa.
“Lokostav-21” was inaugurated by Governor of Goa His Excellency P.S Sreedharan Pillai, Chief Minister of Goa Dr. Pramod Sawant, Director of Tribal Welfare Smt. Triveni Velip, Chairman of Goa Commission of SC/ST & Ex Minister Government of Goa Shri Ramesh

The closing ceremony of “Lokostav-21” was held on 12th December 2021 the glittering ceremony was presided by Honourable Governor of Himachal Pradesh His Excellency Rajendra Arlekar, Central Minister of Ayush Shri Shripad Naik, Vice Chairman of Goa Entertainment Society, Shri Subhash Fal Dessai and Chairman of Goa Commission of SC/ST& Ex Minister Government of Goa Shri Ramesh Tawadkar.
The main highlights of the festival was dance performances by the National level groups of eight states i.e. Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka, Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat depicting their state rich culture. Also Goan traditional folk dance like Dekhni, Golf, Zagor, Ghodemodni, Dhangar Dance, Musel Dance, Virbhadra were presented by the state level dance Groups. Lokostav has always seen a massive involved of the tribal women‟s through tribal dance like Dhalo and Fugadi. This year also 175 groups of Dhalo and Fugadi presented their dance at lokostav-21.
The festival displayed a rich culture in the form of rare tribal handicrafts exhibition tribal cuisine in about 752 stalls. Ayurvedic Medicines in about 105 stalls. Another attractive feature of three days long festival was various traditional games such as Kabaddi, Volleyball, Marathon Tug of War and various adventure activities.
