Visit to SCSTRTI, Odisha by TRI Goa, under the “Tribal Exchange Visit (Outside the State)Project”

Introduction

The Tribal Research Institute, Goa was sanctioned project „Tribal Exchange Visit – Outside the State (No. of Groups 2) by Ministry of Tribal Affairs (MoTA), Government of India, for the FY 2025-26. Accordingly, as per the direction of the Government, the Tribal Research Institute (TRI), Goa in collaboration with Directorate of Tribal Welfare, Government of Goa, undertook project of tribal exchange visit to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Research and Training Institute (SCSTRTI), Odisha, from 24th February 2026 to 27th February 2026.

Objectives:

The key objectives of the visit/project were as under:

To understand the functioning SCSTRTI, Odisha
To understand the organisation structure of SCSTRTI, Odisha
To get overview of research initiatives and training programmes undertaken by SCSTRTI, Odisha
To familiarise with the museum management of SCSTRTI, Odisha
To study the best practices of SCSTRTI, Odisha,
To explore possible collaborations and learning opportunities for strengthening the functioning of TRI Goa.
